How to recover iTunes backup password for all iOS versions

If you can’t remember the password for your encrypted backup

You can’t restore an encrypted backup without its password With iOS 11 or later you can make a new encrypted backup of your device by resetting the password. Here’s what to do
On your iOS device go to Settings General Reset.
Tap Reset All Settings and enter your iOS passcode
Follow the steps to reset your settings. This won’t affect your user data or passwords but it will reset settings like display brightness Home screen layout and wallpaper It also removes your encrypted backup password
Connect your device to iTunes again and create a new encrypted backup

  1. It works but it’s not the solution to the title of video,,,
I need the old backup,, the first he asks to do is to delete it,,, stupid

  2. what kinda shi*** is this? Its nothing provided what is mentioned in the title! why so many thumps up??? And btw the music is horrible!

  3. This is the most idiotic video i've ever seen. You basically delete your encrypted back up and back up an empty one and restore it lol
it's like going back in a circle

I guess it works if you've only backed up your phone without restoring your it and erased all the data already.

  4. The point is getting rid of the encryption tickmark. Resetting all settings shouldn't erase data. Also, ERASE the encrypted backups from iphone preferences. I think if there's an encrypted backup left, Reset All Setings will see that and leave the checkmark. I'm backing up whatsApp first. Then reset all settings. Will report back in a reply. 3 – 2 -1….

  5. I updated my iPhone 8 on Monday night but before I did a full backup on iTunes, however the backup was encrypted and I cannot for the life of me, figure out my password. Over 7 years of photos, contacts, etc! Now, 2.5 days running PassFab iPhone backup unlocker and still no password……I'm stressed. Can anyone help?
