This biochemistry video tutorial provides a basic introduction into glycolysis which can be divided into two phases – the investment phase and the pay off phase. Glycosis converts glucose into 2 molecules of pyruvate and produces high energy molecules such as ATP and NADH in the process. It discusses the nomenclature of the molecules and enzymes involved in each step. Enzymes mentioned include the kinase enzyme, isomerase, PFK-1, aldolase, enolase, and mutase enzymes.

  8. excellent ! just notice in "step 8" that you have to remove this Hydrogen(that attached to the second carbon) from the phosphoenolpyruvate. (part of the dehydration)
